The kiss, le baiser, il bacio - the simple puckering of human lips can demonstrate the
full spectrum of human sensation - love, agony, care, desire, friendship, rejection,
murder/death and inspiration.
THE KISS is the story of one hundred and seventy individuals
who kiss. They are young and old, alive and dead, male and female, rich and poor, Chinese
and Italian, French and English, Inuit and Indian, Christians and Jews, Greek Orthodox and
Hindi, lovers and rapists, mothers and fathers, winners and loosers, actors and
prostitutes, teachers and students, garbage collectors and business executives.
A tender kiss is shared by two lovers on an isolated public park bench.
The scene is romantic and picturesque until the couple argues suddenly and walks home
fighting. The woman leaves the man and heads in a different direction. She arrives,
crying, at a friend's house. He has guests. He takes her in his arms and consoles her. The
guests decide to leave them alone and kiss the man farewell. The guests are our new
protagonists. The kiss has now reached them and they carry it to the character(s) of the
next scene.

The kiss will travel from a synagogue to a mafioso's kiss of death from
prostitutes to a christening from arrivals at the airport to departures at the train
station from Reagen-Gorbachov on television to a movie set from a wedding to lust in the
alleyways from an abstraction in a museum to a beggar's life.
The original musical score accentuates the Tangoesque rythm of the
events. Sometimes comic, often tragic and mostly intriguing, THE KISS is a study
of emotions. Entertaining and inspiring it will make you laugh, cry and feel romantic.
